A soon to be 2025 graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, Michael Gimotty III played a pivotal role in establishing the Digital Dentistry Department. As a predoctoral student, he spearheaded the integration of advanced digital workflows—including personally overseeing the design and fabrication of all fully guided implant planning, endodontic surgical guides, digital dentures, CEREC crowns and bridges, and occlusal splints—enhancing UMKC’s reputation as a leader in modern dental technology.

Michael was the first student at UMKC to concurrently pursue a Doctor of Dental Surgery and Master of Business Administration degree, showcasing his commitment to bridging clinical excellence with business acumen. As an inductee of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Rho Chapter, he was recognized for his academic and leadership contributions.

With expertise in digital implant planning, digital endodontic workflows, CAD/CAM systems, 3D printing and milling, Michael has trained faculty, residents, and students on state-of-the-art dental technologies. While in Dental School he lectured on these workflows in many graded courses and gave a Continuing Education course in 2024 on digital workflows for treating full mouth reconstruction cases.

Continuing his passion for innovation and education, he is starting an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program in June 2025 at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. He is pursuing specialization in Endodontics.

Michael personally designs every single case and is always available to meet on Zoom to discuss cases or via email.
